After releasing his debut music project, titled “Gwana EP”, the Cameroonian sensation, Phido, is here with another amazing body of work, this time titled ‘Sorry Not This’.
In this project, Phido spreads more light on his ability to deliver not only beautiful melodies, and high and low-end jams, but his never-ending lyrical prowess.
We have seen this before, in his GWANA EP, released earlier in 2022, and in every song or collaboration that came after that.
He has an ability with words that will definitely leave you in awe when you dive into the project continuously confirming his penchant for immaculate songwriting, his ability to Rap and compete at the level of the industry as well as his ability to share the experiences of his hometown and stay growing as one of their finest export.
“Sorry Not This” Is in Phido’s words a message to those who might seem to be of the thought that, the music being made on this end, isn’t worth believing in, it isn’t worth celebrating. It is a message to the pressure creatives constantly face while navigating this road of forever present storms to achieving purpose, that says we won’t bend, you can’t keep us down, “sorry not this” time .
He also said this project was a second to another project he had put together and then while listening through with his producer decided to scrap and do a new project from the ground up. Like “sorry not this”.
