Lii Wong translated into English as "Our Ways" is a 25 track ethno-traditional Album by Princess Vinia in which she portrays the rich musical rhythms and wisdom from the Nso Land of the grassfield regions of Cameroon, addressing universal topics like, Love, Living Together, Death, Happiness and Suffering.
This project is the outcome of her 3 months residence program at the Lionz Academy for Arts and Entertainment in Douala Cameroon. The Project consists of an Album, a 90 Minute Live Music Show, a Booklet of lyrics and folk tales and a training course for kids on Nso Culture
Coming at a time when a lot of the sons and daughters of her tribe are ravaged by the ongoing war in the North west region of Cameroon; where hundreds of thousands have been displaced or fled their home towns; Lii Wong comes as a means to let her people remember their tradition wherever they may be. But above all; As music is universal and so is its message; and her hope is that the rest of the world may find solace in it too.
